       The Norwich University Advanced Computing Center is a research center chartered by the President of the university for the purpose of study, research and collaboration in areas of complex computing environments including, but not limited to, virtualized environments, high risk information assurance, cloud computing and formal analytics.

       The NUACC is home to VIALC, the Virtual Information Assurance (IA) Laboratory Consortium and VIANet, a virtual information assurance network connecting members of VIALC for the purpose of high risk IA teaching, research and collaboration. It is a university center of excellence in IA laboratory virtualization. Norwich University has been a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education as designated by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security since 2001.
